Patrick Fitzgerald
Patrick Fitzgerald is the current U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1985 he practiced civil law. Later he became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York. There he worked on high profile cases such as the prosecution of mafia figure John Gotti, the boss of the infamous Gambino family and, the prosecution of the World Trade Center bombers. In 1996 he even worked on an investigation of Osama bin Laden. In October of 2001 he was appointed to be the US attorney for Norhtern Illinois, a position he still holds.
